MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
Greetings, Lunar Crew! The Lunar Foundation is proud to announce that Lunar Dex, our seven-chain decentralized exchange, is now LIVE!
You can read more about the new & updated features (including 16 new onramp providers and 11 new payment options), the reasons for the rebrand, and more on the Lunar Blog.
Because we're sure there will be questions, we've anticipated some of those questions and prepared answers for you:
FAQs
Q: Why aren't there more Lunar Platform features in this release?
A: The application platform used to build the Dex web app (Angular) is one that was specifically rejected by the Dev Team when we started building out the Lunar ecosystem. When we made the decision to take responsibility for this app, that meant a steep learning curve with an unfamiliar app platform.
Putting more features in would have delayed the first release, so instead we focused on required security updates, rebranding, some bug fixes, and getting the app integrated with our automated build & deployment system.
Rest assured, you'll see more Lunar-specific features in future releases.
Q: Do I get a discount on transaction fees for holding Lunar Ecosystem Tokens?
A: Not yet. We're planning for that to be available in a future release.
Q: Why is there a big white circle where a profile icon should be?
A: That is where the logo for the connected wallet was used, and the original code used a library that has been retired for security vulnerabilities. That area will be closely integrated with Lunar Accounts in a future update.
Q: Why can't I on-ramp directly with LNR?
A: The LNR token contract has to be directly implemented by on-ramp providers for that to happen. We've reached out to all of the providers that support BNB Chain, and are working our way through that process.
For now, the best solution is to on-ramp from fiat to BNB on BNB Chain, then swap the BNB for LNR.
Q: Why aren't Uniswap pools on BNB available?
A: Uniswap on BNB Chain was launched long after the release of AnjiSwap. We're working to understand how to register and enable per-chain pools, and will release an update supporting new BNB Chain pools (including LNR's other DEX listings and liquidity pools) in the weeks ahead.
Q: How do I report this bug I just found?
A: Any issues with the original AnjiSwap app are still going to be present in Lunar Dex. For now, make a note of the issues you find and set that note aside. Next week we'll have a place where people can file bugs and monitor our progress.
